Should I customize a theme or build a custom Shopify theme?
If a good existing theme covers most of what you need, customization is faster and costs less. If your designs or features would require rewriting most of a theme, a custom theme is cleaner and easier to maintain.
What is Theme 2.0?
Theme 2.0, also called Online Store 2.0, is Shopify’s current theme architecture. It lets you add sections to almost any page, use app blocks and connect metafields to theme settings without code.
Can I still update my premium theme after you customize it?
Heavy changes can make theme updates harder. We keep custom work as separate as we can and document what changed, so updates are easier to apply later.
Will a new theme affect my SEO?
Product, collection and page URLs stay the same when you switch themes on Shopify. We still check titles, headings, structured data and page speed before publishing so nothing important is lost.
Do you work from our designer’s files?
Yes. We build from Figma or other design files and flag anything that will be hard to edit or slow to load before development starts.
Who owns the theme code?
You do. The theme lives in your Shopify store, and we give you the Git repository with the full change history.
